In his book The Definitive Guide to Google
Adwords, Perry Marshall teaches how to quickly master the
Google pay per click system, also called Google Adwords.
Advertising on Google is the quickest and
easiest way to make money online, bar none. All you need
is $5 to get started and in just 15 minutes you are in
business. No other medium can do this.
On the flipside, Google Adwords is also the quickest way to
loose money if you do it the wrong way. Horror stories of
people loosing fortunes and accruing heavy debts while
bidding mere pennies on Google have been told. Some people have
even written books about it!
A little time and effort spent
learning to “do Google” right could save you a
lot of agony, as well as put a few extra bucks in your wallet.
I was a little uncomfortable with Perry’s suggestion of bidding
a certain fraction of Google’s bid suggestion- it might still
be over ones budget for some keywords. But I saw his point in
that you need quick results so you may decided whether keep,
tweak or delete the campaign and move on.
Perry Marshall is a pioneer in Adwords and is the expert’s
expert. No Google Adwords seminar or training seems
complete without his presence. He gets hired by other “experts”
and corporations to do Adwords jobs for them.
The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords begins with a
three-page outline on the strategy of setting up a
successful campaign. This outline alone has more
valuable information some ebooks sold out there.
When he goes into detail, Perry demonstrates the processes with
real-life campaign samples and graphics. Each step is explained in
simple language.
The sample campaigns are of hard-to-sell
products that would baffle even the experienced. In one of the
example, he shows you how he turned a disabled campaign into
success (yes, even experts do get their campaigns
disabled).
Though the complexities of keyword research, grouping, and
tracking campaigns might appear daunting at first, once you get the
hang of it you will be way ahead of most of the other Adwords
bidders.
Perry asserts that you can advertise just about anything on
Google. Once you see his examples you will be left no doubt as to
the veracity of this assertion.
I hope that in future campaigns, Perry will expand
on “peel and stick” principle as well as advice us on how
to avoid getting keywords put "on hold" or "in trial" by Google, and
what to do if this happens.
Anyone, beginner or pro, will find a wealth of useful
information in Perry Marshall’s The Definitive Guide to
Google Adwords. This is a deluxe reference on methods
of squeezing every possible penny out of Google Adwords.
The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords is available in three
versions;
1.) Basic: A digital book PDF (ebook). This
is the lowest-costing version.
2) Expanded: PDF ebook
plus audio and more advanced strategies
3) Deluxe: Hard Copy plus
CD's plus personal coaching and more.
You may select any one of the three above versions
according to your need and budget. My advice? Don't buy what
you can't afford. The basic package will get you started and if
it's what you can afford, go for it.
PS- Perry Marshall offers a free
5-day course on Google Adwords, which reveals some valuable
hints and tips on Google Adwords. This is a gem on its
own, that you should sign up for even if you decide not
buy the book.
